Novgorod policemen visit village residents on islands
Within the framework of the action ""Precinct in each House", the police precinct officers of the inter-municipal department "Novgorodsky" of Russia's MVD visited the residents of the village of Voitsy located on the namesake island in the Novgorod District.
In winter, you can reach the village by snow-bike only while in summer, you have to take a motor boat to get there. The village head helps to get to the villagers by taking the precinct, by agreement, from the Ilmen Lake shore to the island. Fortunately, as the locals say, the village is located far from the industrial areas and is, therefore, quiet. Offences, let alone crimes, are quite rare here.
This time, the precinct paid an unusual visit to the village. Firstly, due to the technical support of Russia's Emergency Ministry Main Administration for Novgorod Oblast, he arrived at Voitsy on board an air-cushion ship, and secondly, this meeting with the islanders was held under the action "Precinct in each House".
Police precincts Igor Melnik and Lyudmila Kuznetsova visited all houses on the island. They spoke to the locals about their life and told them that they could contact policemen at any time, be it day or night, and also gave them their cellphone numbers, the crisis hotline number and the details of the control room of the inter-municipal department "Novgorodsky" of Russia's MVD.
The villagers were very glad to see the guests from the "Main Land". The mutually beneficial visit was highly appreciated both by the islanders and the police precincts.
