Nizhny Novgorod policemen conduct action "Pedestrian Crossing" together with public representatives
One of the priority activity areas of the road police is the prevention of the car accidents involving pedestrians. Very often, a pedestrian causes a car accident. In this case, the road police have to find the cause of the violations and eliminate it.
This is supported by an updated section "Public Discussion: Pedestrian's Right" operating on the official website of the road police of Russia's MVD Main Administration for Nizhny Novgorod. Each citizen may take part in it and express their opinion on the topical issues.
Notably, the employees of the patrol and guard battalion of Russia's MVD Administration for Nizhny Novgorod identified 82 violations of the Road Safety Rules committed by pedestrians within one day.
These violations were identified during the prevention action "Pedestrian Crossing" held in Nizhny Novgorod. Policemen held prevention talks with the drivers who did not stop to let the pedestrians cross the street at the non-regulated crossings whereas the students of the educational institutions in the Avtozavodsky District handed the action emblems over to the drivers.
The event was attended by Evgeny Kosmachyov, a member of the Public Council under Russia's MVD Administration for Nizhny Novgorod and the head of the car center "TSS". He gave the violators the ribbons made by young citizens from large families accompanying it with the words of warning.
