During "hot lines" with inhabitants of Kaluga heads of the Internal Affairs Directorate repeatedly heard requests of inhabitants of remote districts of the city about the increase of availability of militia services in their territory.
Meeting these requests, an unusual decision was made: starting this August, a mobile militia point will be operating as part of the separate squadron of the patrol and inspection service of the Internal Affairs Directorate.
This mobile militia point will work in a bus specially reequipped for the performance of militia functions. The vehicle is equipped with radio communication facilities and desktops for employees.
It is supposed that the mobile point of militia will ply round the city suburbs according to a certain schedule. Therefore, it will be much easier for the inhabitants to appeal to militia officers with their problems. The law enforcement officers will in their turn be able to promptly react to the citizens' messages, draw reports and detain offenders.
Besides, the bus will be used by heads of the public safety militia for carrying out field meetings with the population.
The new mobile point of militia has successfully been checked in actual practice during a celebratory concert which too place in Volkov square on the occasion of the City Day.
