Militia officers of Magadan region took part in campaign "Donor Day"

"Donor Day" is the name of the campaign which took place in the medical unit at the Internal Affairs Directorate in Magadan region. Knowing the city's constant donor blood demand, eager to help those who need it, militia officers return every 3 months for a "donor session".

Today, about 30 militia employees from various units of the Internal Affairs Directorate (the private security service, the personnel management department, the press service, the special militia forces and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate) participated in the voluntary donation procedure.

Donating over 400 ml of blood, each of them as allowed to finish their working day and go home to have a rest, but most of the militia officers continued to perform their official duties. They have already got accustomed to such things, for many of them are longstanding donors.

The blood transfusion station accepted more than 10 liters of the donor blood from the militia officers. This is an invaluable gift, for it helps rescue lives of the fellow countrymen. The medical workers of the regional hospital thanked the volunteers with epaulets for their traditional contribution to the blood bank of Magadan.
