Ministry of Interior prepares for beginning of school year. Mikhail Sukhodolskiy held session of Operative Headquarters

On August 27, 2010, a session of the Operative Headquarters of the Ministry of Interior of Russia for prevention of offences took place at the Ministry of Interior of Russia via videoconference facilities under presidency of the First Deputy RF Minister of Interior colonel general of militia Mikhail Sukhodolskiy to address issues concerning the readiness of law enforcement bodies to the maintenance of the law and order and safety during events and activities related to the beginning of the new school year.

Heads of profile units of the Ministry produced reports about the course of execution of scheduled events aimed at the increase of forces and means of law enforcement bodies involved at educational objects and the approach of patrol routes as closer to places of solemn events as possible, the inspection of all educational institutions to check their security against the terrorism and the criminality, the traffic safety maintenance and a number of other measures.

Mikhail Sukhodolskiy outlined specific positive trends concerning the increase in the interaction of law enforcement bodies and private security organizations involved in the protection of educational objects who for the greater part (over 70 per cent) operate within the system of uniform disposition of forces and means of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Interior of Russia.

At the same time, the First Deputy Minister paid attention of heads to the necessity of putting more joint efforts of all interested bodies to preclude involvement of employees of private security organizations who do not possess adequate qualification and competence, in the protection of educational institutions. Recommendations concerning taking of measures to prevent children's injuries at traffic accidents are given.

Also, Mikhail Sukhodolskiy turned the general attention to the necessity of increasing the working efficiency of juvenile units and the institute of school inspectors emphasizing the importance of the high quality interaction with teams of educational institutions and parents of pupils for taking preventive measures.
