From August 16 till August 26, the traditional charity campaign "Help children prepare for school" took place under the aegis of the Ministry of Interior in Republic Buryatia.
About 2000 complete sets of clothes, more than 1,500 writing goods and textbooks, over 92,000 rubles were collected in the republic. 1,200 low-income families received assistance.
Employees of Ministry's units have rendered patronage help to fosterlings of official bodies. They were invited on excursions to city museums of Ulan-Ude and handed gifts which will be of use at school. Also, the employees helped improve the premises and grounds of the educations institutions. 50 first-graders received their first school sets.
The campaign was concluded by a gala concert for children and a theatrical performance.
The providers thanked the Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchy in Ulan-Ude and Buryatia and the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia, the public and charity associations, philanthropists, students and private persons who contributed to the charity help, for the assistance in carrying out the campaign.
