All-Russia campaign "Caution: children!" started in Khabarovsk

From August 23 till September 11, a preventive operation "Caution: children!" takes places in Khabarovsk. In the first ten-day interval of September inspectors of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, employees of juvenile departments, precinct militia officers will undertake the advanced mode of duty performance at crossroads and pedestrian crossings near each school of the city.

Employees will hold conversations for children to remind them of the necessity to observe traffic safety rules.

In the second ten-day interval of September, the city holiday "Dedication of first-graders in pedestrians" will be held. Besides, schools will be assisted in the organization of school groups of young traffic inspectors in September.

On the first Thursday of each month the "Day of safety" is held in the regional capital in which young traffic inspectors traditionally take part. Contests, trivia games, thematic holidays are scheduled, among them the competition of children's poems and drawings "The road and me", the contest for young traffic inspectors "Safe wheel 2011", competitions of banners concerning traffic safety among schoolchildren attending grades 6-10.

Carrying out joint preventive actions yields a visible decrease in the number of traffic injuries involving children. In the new school year the PR department of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate together with the management of education of the Official authorities of Khabarovsk will continue preventive oeprations.
