RF Minister of Interior Rashid Nurgaliev considered the problem maintenance of maintenance of public order during elections

Today the Minister of Interior of the Russian Federation General of the Army Rashid Nurgaliev within the limits of session of the Operative Headquarters of the Ministry of Interior of Russia on prevention of offences considered the problem maintenance of maintenance of public order and safety during elections of deputies of legislative (representative) public authorities of constituents of the Russian Federation on March, 14th, 2010.

In work of the Operative Headquarters of the Ministry of Interior of Russia took part: heads of departments of the Ministry of Interior of Russia, the chairman of the Central selective commission of the Russian Federation Vladimir Churov. Besides, via videoconference facilities heads of law enforcement bodies participated in Operative Headquarters work on subjects and chairmen of the territorial selective commissions.

As the head of the Operative Headquarters, the First Deputy Minister the colonel general of militia Mikhail Suhodolsky, in Uniform day of voting noted the selective companies at elections in legislative (representative) public authorities and local authorities as well as elections of heads of local government pass in 74 regions.

"Now the complex of measures on maintenance of the law and order and public safety in preparation and elections is realised. Close interaction with the territorial selective commissions is adjusted. For maintenance of the law and order in elections the staff of law enforcement bodies and units of internal troops will be translated on the strengthened variant of performance of duty, the density of squads increases, round-the-clock watch of the administrative board" will be arranged, - noted Suhodolsky.

As he said, during election campaign the special attention is given to questions of counter-terrorism safety, the prevention of attempts of fulfilment of acts of terrorism, extremist campaigns, group infringements of a public order, carrying out of not authorised public events.

"The primary goal of law enforcement bodies for the nearest period - to provide the law and order, safety of citizens, possibility of their free will during pre-election campaign and voting within the limits of the legislation of the Russian Federation", - Mikhail Suhodolsky noticed.
