Open day at training center of Samara

Last Friday, an Open day was held at the Training Center of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Samara region.

On this day, an excursion round the training center was arranged for students of secondary school no. 62 and the lyceum "Prestige". The deputy head of the center for the personnel management of the training center of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Samara region colonel of militia A. Yu. Obkhodsky and the deputy head of the center on study lieutenant colonel of militia V.V. Charaev told the visitors about traditions, teachers, subjects and achievements of the Center.

The guests visited the videoconference room, the computer classes where military students of the center learn to work with the integrated database "Region", the hardware and software system "Marathon". The psychological recreation room opened for the psychological adaptation and support of the students, caused great interest in the visitors by its unique design and a variety of indoor plants.

The school children showed special interest to the equipment of the specialized classroom "Special equipment" where students of the center learn to work with individual defense means, the search equipment and communication facilities which are in the practical inventory of employees of law enforcement bodies.

Visiting o а the shooting gallery of the training center was also quite a thrilling experience. The senior experts in range practice, lieutenant colonels of militia S.D. Tkachenko and A.A. Zubkov prepared for the school children an exhibition of modern small arms which are in the inventory of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate's units.

"Many employees of our Center used to take part in military actions in the North Caucasus and republic Afghanistan," Anatoly Obkhodsky explained. "They successfully apply the combat experience they derived from the training process. A number of graduates of the Center also honorably participated in counter-terrorism operations.

In conclusion of the excursion the senior pupils attended an administration of oath ceremony. On this day 156 students of the Center solemnly swore fealty to the office duty. By the way, 32% of those who swore are women. Certainly, this solemn ritual reinforces the loyalty spirit and raises the employees' pride of their occupation. For the senior pupils the attendance at the event is an opportunity to see and feel the office discipline, the particularities of working in law enforcement bodies. Probably, after they got acquainted with the training center, someone will decide to enter one of higher education institutions of the RF Ministry of Interior and choose the service in militia bodies as their profession.
