Press conference took place at Internal Affairs Directorate in Pskov region

A press conference with participation of the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate in Pskov region major general of militia Boris Govorun and the deputy heads was held for the journalists at the Directorate.

At press conference, basic results of activity of the regional internal affairs departments in 2009 were analyzed. It was emphasized that as a whole the law enforcement officers of Pskov region had coped with their mission of maintaining the public safety and disclosing crimes.

The head of the Internal Affairs Directorate in Pskov region major general of militia Boris Govorun also told the representatives of the regional print and electronic mass media about measures which it is planned to take at the Internal Affairs Directorate in view of the Decree of the President of Russia D.A. Medvedev concerning the reform of the Ministry of Interior.

Representatives of the management of the Internal Affairs Directorate answered the numerous questions of journalists about the law and order maintenance during the forthcoming All-Russia Pancake week in Pskov, about the alcoholization of the population, about the struggle against the money counterfeiting business and the drug business.
