Teenage criminality decreased in Khabarovsk area

In 2009, the teenage criminality rate has decreased by 22,5% in Khabarovsk area.

For the purpose of decreasing the criminal activity of minors operative preventive operations "Homeless child", "Vacation", "Group", "Probationer", "Last bell", "Caution, children!", "Graduate", "Teenager", "Health", "Day of knowledge" are carried out.

For the purpose of decreasing the criminality rate involving minors and crimes committed against them the Legislative Duma of Khabarovsk area passed law 298 "About measures aimed at the prevention of infliction of harm to the health and normal development of children" on 23.12.2009 which has been valid since February 1, 2010.

The law provides for measures of responsibility for officials and parents who did not prevent minors younger than 16 years old being without parents (or persons who replace them) in public places, places of sale of alcoholic beverages, sexual goods and erotic entertainments from 23 o'clock in the evening to 6 o'clock in the morning.
